As we approached the end of the paved road leading into Carolina Beach, the excitement grew. We hadn’t been off-road or on a beach since we headed for San Felipe over a month ago. We all needed this.

Places like Carolina Beach are the exact reason that we invested in a 4×4 van and when we saw the deep ruts in the soft sand we felt right at home. We aired down the tires, locked in the hubs, shifted into 4WD and headed to our campsite.
